About

Carolin Krajnak (previously Karo) has graduated from Heino Eller Music College (with specialization in classical piano) and Hugo Treffner Gymnasium in the class with emphasis on the humanities. In 2020, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Tartu, while studying in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre at the same time. She graduated from EAMT in 2021 (bachelor’s degree, supervisor Age Juurikas) and 2023 (master’s degree, supervisors Age Juurikas, Kai Ratassepp).

Since 2022, she has also studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm with Professor Anders Kilström. Krajnak has active concert life in both Estonia and Sweden – she is regularly performing with solo piano or chamber music.

In 2022 she received II prize at the Tallinn Lied-duo competition in duo with Ksenia Rossar. She also has an active violin-piano duo and piano quintet, she occasionally plays in other chamber groups, too.

Carolin’s favourite music (in addition to the standard repertoire) also consists of classical and jazz genre blurring pieces and unknown or forgotten pieces. She has been awarded with Rotalia, Estonian Cultural Endowment and Estonian Students Fund in USA’s scholarships and continues her studies investigating unknown piano pieces by the example of exile-Estonian composers’ music.
